Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre
Saturday 05 May 2012

Our programme of events for 2012 continues with a visit to Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre

Adjacent to the beautiful Crosby Marine Park, Crosby Lakeside £10-million Adventure Centre offers something for everyone and is housed in one amazing, fully-accessible facility. Located at the gateway to the Mersey Estuary in the heart of Crosby Coastal Park, it's an area of outstanding natural beauty, and home to the internationally renowned Antony Gormleys 'Another Place', Iron Men statues.

The centre features exciting water sports, physical activities for young & old alike, an Active Sefton fitness suite with a variety of fitness classes, conference & meeting suites plus the fantastic Lakeside Bar & Bistro. The centre also boasts an intimate 15-room Lakeside Lodge designed to be fully accessible and convenient - why not have a look at the Image Gallery to get a better 'feel' for the place?

For children, there's an outdoor 'gym' and play area, sand dunes to clamber over and explore, and of course the beach itself. For older children (minimum 8 years of age) teens and adults, there will be an opportunity to take part in a range of activities, including bell-boating, raft-building or the challenge of the climbing wall (maximum three activities per person, but you may do fewer if you wish). For the less energetic, or those preferring to spectate, the bistro with it's floor to ceiling glass walls or outdoor decked terraces, provides an ideal place to relax and enjoy watching everybody else!

There is NO CHARGE for this event UNLESS you wish to do any of the organised activities. The activities will be charged at £5 per person, per activity (regardless of age). Some activities require a minimum number of people and can't be confirmed until final numbers are known. For this reason, early booking is essential.  This event is particularly suitable for inviting other friends and family to attend too.  There will NOT be a coach on this occasion - those coming will need to make their own travel arrangements.

In a departure from the normal procedure, if you would like to take part please send Graham an email clearly stating the name(s) of those wanting to book activities AND which activities they would like to book. Details will only be confirmed and payments requested once sufficient numbers of people have signed up for each activity.  The usual online booking form should NOT be used.
